Game Based Learning – The idea of using quizzes for playful knowledge transfer is not new. Nevertheless, puzzles, tests, and quizzes are enjoying increasing popularity. Not least triggered by the hype surrounding the "Quizduell" app by the Swedish company FEO Media, which was set to receive a TV show of the same name with Jörg Pilawa on ARD in the spring of 2014.

By using small learning units, quizzes are suitable for companies to build knowledge effectively and efficiently within their target group. (see also article on Microlearning as an instrument of personnel development).

Advantages at a glance:

  • Testing specialist knowledge and thus increasing security and confidence in one's own knowledge
  • A high-score table motivates and shows the learner where they stand in comparison to other learners
  • High reach and acceptance among users due to device-independent learning
  • Feedback to the learners increases learning success
  • User feedback method to the trainers ensures the quality of the content

In addition to their use in internal further education, quiz apps also offer a variety of other possibilities:

Corporate Quiz for establishing brand messages or building image

Training Quiz for internalizing behaviors or methods (e.g., sales training)

Fact Quiz for conveying product knowledge to employees, partners, and customers

We have implemented the following quiz app for the Bausparkasse Schwäbisch Hall, which uses it to train its field staff.
