GDPR – sure, no problem!

It is not as if we did not practice data protection before the GDPR. ;-) Data protection and data security in e-learning have always been of great importance to us. But May, or rather the GDPR, makes everything new, and therefore we are providing an overview of the processing of personal data on behalf of keeunit:

• Transparent data processing through disclosure of our data protection (to the data protection declaration)
• Hosting in Germany in an ISO27001 certified data center. The data is physically stored in Germany and not transferred to third countries
• If third-party solutions are used, we check whether the data storage of all personal data within the European Union can be guaranteed by the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield
• We are guided by the principle of data minimization and only collect as much data as is necessary for the execution of the applications or cooperation
• Consent to the processing of data for advertising purposes (e.g., newsletter subscription) is voluntary for all our offerings
• Users are informed in our e-learning software about the purpose, nature, and scope of data processing
• Data processed by us is NEVER passed on to third-party providers unless they are explicitly listed transparently in the data protection conditions

Data protection in e-learning is of crucial importance, above all for the protection of privacy: learners should have the right to keep their personal data and learning activities private. Data protection ensures that sensitive information such as personal identification data, learning progress, and preferences are not unauthorizedly disclosed or misused.
